Versatile Material Approach
At MAP, we believe the connections between the primary processes of production and fabrication are vital in offering the most avant product to our clients. It’s when we mate and hybridize ideas and materials; we create new ideas and materials out of necessity. We use organic, found, electric, fabric, rubber, plastic, paper, wood, metals, glass, fiberglass, rumber (a recycled tire and plastic product) paint (coatings), digital, and new materials for production.
New Media
Recording audio and video and propagating raw or altered media is commonplace. We’re interested in developing and facilitating new techniques, adaptations, and innovations of the apparatuses and media to realize ideas. New interfaces and new materials can very readily synthesize a new vehicle for modal stimulation.
Mural Painting
MAP can provide the production of artful imagery to every public and private surface available. Murals are a marvelous way to beautify any space. They usually act as a graffiti deterrent via the respect from one artist to another. Mural painting and the spectacle it creates, provides opportunities for public participation.
Patina Ornamentation
True alchemy. Matthew Allen Productions provides gorgeous and natural finishes to the surface of metal objects so that as they age, the coating that is very much a part of the object becomes distinguished with them. Hot and Cold Patinas available; various techniques.
Time-based Performances
Time-based performances include large events with music and vendors, installations or spontaneous public, sometimes mobile multi-disciplinary creative expression.
Traversing Follies
Not only do we help clients realize their project through the final stage of production, but as consultants, MAP assists clients in problem solving when it comes to projects gone awry. We bring the functioning misfortunate to life, which in many cases includes dialoguing, generating new ideas, sketching, physical and digital design, testing, prototype production, series production, packaging, installation, and maintenance.
